Thermo-Hydric Modeling of the Water Retention Curve Based on the Hydric Model of Van Genuchten

In this paper, we propose an extension for a model of unsaturated soils developed by Van Genuchten (1980) and obtain thermos-hydric to study the influence temperature on water retention curve. A brief presentation is described using independent parameter modeling method. The proposed hydrometric makes it possible predict, from experimental measurements carried out drainage-humidification paths ambient temperature, WRC (water curve) at high temperatures, while knowing initial state soil studied (Compacted or in form paste). We show existence hysteresis phenomenon between drainage humidification path shift downward curves showing slight decrease content as increases. To validate model, three results literature are simulated. obtained simulating ability predict temperatures. These considerably reduce number trials geotechnical geothermal soils.
